Cumberland County PA Low-Income Applications Open Again Following Two Year Wait

Cumberland County Housing Authority
After two years, the Cumberland County Pennsylvania Low-Income Housing Choice Voucher Program  has re-opened its waiting list and is now taking applications for housing. The vouchers are issued to qualifying low-income families to help them pay their rent.

To be eligible for housing assistance, families must meet the income guidelines.  A family of four, for example, must have annual income limited to $36,750. A single individual income must be at or below $25,750 in order to qualify.

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program is offered through the Cumberland County Housing Authority. It includes family public housing, senior housing and housing for persons with disabilities. Housing is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Individuals and families interested in submitting applications may apply online. Some of the information required on the application will include names, birth dates and social security numbers for all household members and total income for all those living within the household.
