Portland, Oregon Completes $4.6 million Affordable Housing Project
To be eligible for a unit, residents must have an annual income of 50 percent or less of Portland’s median family income in Portland. This is approximately $34,700 for a family of four. Two of the 31 units are handicap accessible for people with physical disabilities.
Funding for the project came from the Portland Housing Bureau, Oregon Housing and Community Services, and the Network for Affordable Housing. The project was built by Rose Community Development who renovated the existing building to complete the new, affordable housing units. The company has completed 430 such units in total.
